It is available in the market in the form of high quality solution as well as in low quality powder form. Basically it is applied in ppm amount. PPM, also known as parts per million, simply means one in a million (1/100000). It is a unit obtained that determines how many milligrams of a solution is dissolved in 1 liter of solution.

Now, to make 100 ppm of GA3,
For 100ppm, 100mg should be dissolved in 1 liter of water.
But the GA3 packets obtained from the agro-vet shops are not 100% pure. Like the GA3 packet I bought was only 10% pure. So, how to make 100ppm of 10% pure GA3?
Say, for 100% pure GA3, 100mg should be dissolved in 1 liter of water.
Now, for 1% pure GA3, 100x100=10000mg should be dissolved in 1 liter of water.
Likely, for 10% pure GA3, 10000/10=1000mg should be dissolved in 1 liter of water.
Procedure:
1. I weighed 1000mg of GA3 in an electronic digital scale.

2. I then dissolved the powder in 10 ml of alcohol. (I used rectified spirit for this)

3. I mildly heated the mixture in a test tube for a while.
4. Finally, I mixed the solution in 1 liter of clean water.

Effects of GA3 application:
1. Increase plant or crop yield
2. Enable greater photosynthesis and plant metabolism
3. Allow the production of bigger leaves, and bigger root system
4. Increase cell growth in stems,leaves and roots
4. Used for production of elongated stems in plants grown as standard and half-standard horticulture crops.
5. Can be used to increase stem length in a number of flower crops grown for the flower trade.
6. Increase flower size
7. Improve establishment and growth of young plants produced from cuttings, seed or plugs.
8. Used to help plants suffering nutrient and growth deficiencies.
